Mumbai Crime Branch is continuously investigating the firing case at the Juhu house of veteran Bollywood producer-director Rohit Shetty. Now the Crime Branch has got great success in this matter. The investigation has revealed that this attack was planned by Maharashtra chief of Bishnoi gang Shubham Lonkar and his brother Praveen Lonkar. Only after the attack, Shubham Lonkar took responsibility for the attack through a Facebook post.
The attack was planned from jail itself!
The big thing that has come to light in the investigation is that Praveen Lonkar is currently in jail in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. Despite this, he provided weapons and financial help for the attack on Rohit Shetty. The Crime Branch suspects that Praveen Lonkar created the network of this entire crime from jail itself and hatched the entire conspiracy of the attack. According to the police, till now 12 accused including the main shooter involved in this conspiracy have been arrested from Pune, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Praveen Lonkar is currently in judicial custody and will soon be formally taken into police custody in this case.
12 teams of crime branch are investigating
Investigation has revealed that the motorcycle, pistol used in the incident and the money required for the attack were also made available on the instructions of Praveen Lonkar. In such a situation, the question arises that how did Praveen Lonkar hatch the entire conspiracy from jail itself? Through whom did he make all these arrangements and send the messages from here to there? A senior police officer said that the case is being investigated by 12 teams of the crime branch. After getting the custody of Praveen Lonkar, the remaining links of the conspiracy and further plans of Bishnoi gang will be exposed.
The firing took place on 1 February
On February 1, at 12:45 am, at least five bullets were fired on the first floor of Rohit Shetty’s nine-storey building in Juhu area. One bullet hit the glass of the gym located inside the building. Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Shubham Lonkar had claimed responsibility for the firing. Shubham Lonkar is among the wanted accused in the case. He has reportedly claimed responsibility for the firing at Shetty’s residence in a social media post. Police Strict section of MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act) has been imposed in this case.
