In a press conference held on Monday, Revanth Reddy said that Owaisi has become an important reference point in BJP politics. He alleged that BJP takes the name of Lord Ram in public, but keeps Owaisi at the center of its political strategy. According to him, BJP does politics of polarization by repeatedly mentioning Owaisi.

The Chief Minister said that BJP uses Owaisi like “Aladdin’s magic lamp” in every election and seeks votes in his name. He raised the question that if BJP criticizes Owaisi’s ideology, then why is it raised again and again by making it a political issue.

Revanth Reddy also said that in a democracy, AIMIM is a legitimate political party, which contests elections in various states and wins where it gets support. He said that any party should go among the public on policies and development issues instead of maintaining political existence only on the basis of opposition.

Accusing the BJP of ideological weakness, the Chief Minister said that doing politics by keeping religious sentiments and individuals at the center reflects “ideological poverty”. He also appealed to the voters of Telangana to vote thoughtfully.
