Lucknow. Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has announced to contest the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh alone. He has termed all the ongoing discussions regarding the alliance as completely misleading and baseless. Mayawati has appealed to the party workers to ignore the negative news related to the alliance and get busy in election preparations while walking like an elephant. Like 2007, Mayawati’s target is to form a government with full majority of BSP in the state. Along with this, he also clarified about the Type-8 bungalow allotted to him in Delhi and said that it has been allotted from security point of view. Mayawati said that the news of BSP joining hands with any other party is just an attempt to spread confusion. He said that such discussions are being deliberately run so as to divert the attention of the workers. He clearly said that the party believes in its own strength and will contest the elections without any crutch.
