Mumbai: Punjabi singers living in Canada have once again become the target of gang war. For the past few months, incidents of firing on artists have been continuously coming to light. Now the latest case is of the firing at the house of Punjabi singer Channi Nattan, which has shaken the music world. It is being told that Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Goldie Dhillon himself has taken responsibility for this attack.
Gang threats increasing against singers in Canada
The incidents of gang war against Punjabi singers and entrepreneurs in Canada are not stopping. Just a few days ago, firing was done at the house of famous singer Teji Kahlon. Before that, there had been firing thrice at Caps Cafe of comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. After these incidents, Channi Nattan’s name has now been added to this list. According to the police, this attack was done to scare and warn the artist.
Goldie Dhillon told the reason to Sardar Khehra
After the firing, Bishnoi gang member Goldie Dhillon took responsibility for it through social media and said that her intention was not to hurt Channi Nattan, but to warn him. Goldie said that this action has been taken due to her growing relationship with singer Sardar Khehra. The gang clearly said that any artist who works with Khehra in future or remains in contact with him may have to face serious consequences.
No personal grudge against Channi Nattan
Bishnoi gang also said that they have no personal enmity with Channi Nattan. The firing was only a “warning signal”. According to the gang, their real target is Sardar Khehra, against whom they have already given many threats. It was also reported that if Khehra “crossed the line” he would face serious harm in the future.
Fear spread in Punjabi industry
These continuous incidents have spread panic in the Punjabi music world. There is an atmosphere of insecurity among singers and artists. Many artists have decided to return to India or change their locations instead of staying in Canada. Although the police have talked about increasing security, but the increasing firing cases have raised questions as to how gangsters in Canada are targeting artists so easily.
Bullets were fired 6 days ago also
Just 6 days before this, bullets were fired at the house of singer Teji Kahlon. Rohit Godara gang had taken responsibility for that attack. Now with the name of Bishnoi gang coming to light, it has become clear that the fight for mutual supremacy between Punjabi gangs in Canada has reached a new level.
