
New Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police red-handed while taking bribe. This action was taken in a case related to property dispute, where the accused inspector had demanded a total bribe of Rs 25 lakh from the complainant. CBI had registered this case on 10 February 2026. It is alleged that this bribed inspector posted at CR Park Police Station in Delhi had demanded illegal amount of Rs 25 lakh from the complainant in the name of resolving a property dispute. He had said that no legal action would be taken against the complainant if the money was paid.
After getting information about the case, CBI laid a trap and on February 10, 2026, caught the accused ASI red-handed with the bribe money. At that time, the accused Inspector was taking the first installment of Rs 10 lakh out of the total amount of Rs 25 lakh demanded from the complainant for resolving the dispute. Even before the accused could digest the bribe amount, CBI arrested the accused from the spot. The agency has said that the matter is being investigated in depth and the investigation into the matter is still going on.
