Commission to visit Kerala to take stock of assembly election preparations

The Election Commission will visit the state this week to take stock of the preparations for the proposed assembly elections in Kerala next month. The commission will be headed by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Officials said that the commission is likely to reach Kerala on the night of March 5. He will begin his official tour on March 6 and 7. Apart from Kerala, assembly elections are also proposed in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and West Bengal.
