Congress Complaint Vote Theft: Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi is in the headlines for allegations of vote theft. Three months ago also he had alleged vote theft in Mahadevapura assembly constituency of Bengaluru. Now a Congress worker has filed a complaint alleging fraudulent addition of names to the voter list in Mahadevpura area before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Police have registered an FIR under Section 129 of the Representation of the People Act on charges of forgery and betrayal.
Congress worker Y Vinoda had filed this complaint on November 19, in which he said that he was deeply saddened by the allegations of vote theft that names of fake voters were added to the voter list of Mahadevpura area by unknown officials and private persons. He claimed that this was done to manipulate the election decision of Mahadevpura area.
Demand raised for fair investigation
It was told in the complaint letter that according to publicly available information, before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, names of a large number of fake voters were added in Mahadevpura area. Adding the names of a large number of fake voters is not possible without the nexus of political parties and officials. This should be investigated impartially. Mahadevpura is the same assembly constituency where Rahul Gandhi had claimed to add names of 1 lakh fake voters.
Became block president the very next day of complaint
Let us tell you, a day after Congress worker Y Vinoda lodged a complaint of vote theft, he was made the Congress Block President of Marathahalli of Mahadevapura Assembly Constituency. It is not clear whether this FIR will be registered or not. Because only Election Commission officials can lodge a complaint regarding the voter list.
