Court frames charges in Land for Job scam, will I have to go to jail now?

Land For Job Scam: Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has given a big blow to Lalu Yadav. In the Land for Job case, the Rouse Avenue court has fixed January 29 for framing of charges in the case. On the next date the court will record the statement of the accused.

The court said that according to the charge sheet, Lalu Yadav misused his position as Railway Minister and had conspired to take over government lands in exchange for government posts. Apart from Lalu Prasad Yadav, the court has also directed to frame charges against his two sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav in this matter.

Charges framed against more than 40 people including Lalu family
The court admitted that Lalu Yadav and his family were working like a criminal gang to acquire land in exchange for government jobs. A case was registered against hundreds of people in this matter, out of which the court has so far acquitted 52 people. Whereas charges have been framed against more than 40 people including Lalu Yadav and his family.

What is Land for Job Scam?
Land for Job Scam, taking money from people instead of giving them jobs in Railways. This case is from the time when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister. This case was investigated by CBI. According to CBI, land was sold at very low prices in exchange for jobs. Whereas Railways had not issued any recruitment advertisement or public notice for this. CBI had found in the investigation that the families who gave their land to Lalu Yadav. Railways appointed him in Mumbai, Kolkata, Jabalpur, Hajipur and Jaipur.

Going to jail is certain, said BJP spokesperson
On framing of charges against the Lalu family in the land-for-job case, BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna said, “You will reap what you sow. Since they have sown the seeds of corruption, it is certain that they will go to jail. After examining all the facts, the court has framed charges today. The court believes that corruption charges should be framed against Lalu Prasad Yadav and his entire family. Anyway, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s entire family is involved in corruption.”
