Washington. The Justice Department in the US has released new documents related to notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In an interview, the woman claimed that Epstein had introduced her to Donald Trump. Trump sexually assaulted her. She was a minor then. These pages were not released earlier. Trump’s name is mentioned more than 38 thousand times in the Epstein files. The records mention 7-8 trips by Epstein on his private plane in the 1990s. Also included in the guest list of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club.
The FBI conducted four interviews related to the woman’s claims, but the initial release showed the essence of only one interview, in which the woman described allegations against Epstein. Questions were being raised over the disappearance of the remaining three interviews. Officials now say they were mistakenly stopped as ‘duplicates’. When reviewed later, this turned out to be wrong.
According to media reports, the leader of America’s opposition Democratic Party is raising questions on the Trump government over the way it handled documents related to Epstein. They allege that the Trump administration suppressed information related to the Epstein investigation that could harm Trump. A House committee voted in favor of issuing a notice to Attorney General Pam Bondi. They will have to answer in the court. In 2019, the FBI conducted several interviews with the woman who accused Trump. The documents released on Thursday include details of these interviews.
According to media reports, in this interview the woman alleged that Epstein and Trump had sexually abused her when she was between 13 and 15 years old. The woman said that Epstein had taken her to New York or New Jersey and introduced her to Trump there. The woman told investigators that Trump had bitten her when he was pressuring her to have sex. The woman claims that in the last several years, she and her close people also received threatening phone calls to keep quiet. The woman believes that these calls could have come from people associated with Epstein.
According to media reports, investigation revealed that the network of sexual exploitation was not limited to America. Epstein created an organized trafficking network. So far, names of aristocrats, leaders and international personalities of 15 countries have been revealed in the Epstein files. Trump has denied any wrongdoing in all allegations involving Epstein. The Justice Department had also previously said some of the released documents contained “false and sensationalist claims” against Trump. At the same time, opposition Democratic leaders have accused the Trump government of trying to hide some information related to the Epstein investigation that could harm Trump.
