Amritsar. Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, which is agitating on the Shambhu-Khanauri border, has announced to block the railway tracks in Punjab on 5 December. Kisan Mazdoor Morcha convenor Sarwan Pandher said that trains will be stopped at 26 places in the entire state. This demonstration will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm i.e. for 2 hours. There will be no road jam during this period. Pandher said that no decision has been taken by the Central and Punjab governments on many demands of the farmers, including the law to guarantee MSP.
Because of this, farmers are being forced to protest. The farmers’ protest will affect the movement of trains in many districts passing through 19 districts including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Bathinda.
Pandher told the demands of the farmers
Farmer leader Sarwan Pandher said that the farmers are demanding MSP guarantee law from the Centre. Apart from this, Electricity Reform Bill-2025 was also not cancelled. Their demand is that prepaid meters should be removed and old meters should be installed. Apart from this, this demonstration is being held against the forced sale of public properties by the AAP government of Punjab, ignoring the rights of farmers and laborers and other problems.
If demands are not paid attention to, the movement will intensify
Kisan Mazdoor Morcha chief Sarwan Singh Pandher said that if the government does not pay attention to their demands, the movement can take a more rapid and widespread form. He says that the purpose of this step is to convey the voice of farmers and laborers to the government.
