New Delhi: Passengers had to jump to save their lives when a moving bus going from Ajmer to Nepal caught fire on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. The accident took place in Sirsaganj police station area of Firozabad district, where suddenly smoke was seen rising from the moving bus, creating an atmosphere of chaos, shouting and stampede on the spot. Within no time the bus was completely burnt to ashes. However, the administration has not yet officially confirmed this. As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot, after much effort the fire was brought under control.

Due to the accident, traffic on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway was affected for some time, which was later smoothened. It is a matter of relief that there was no loss of life in this horrific accident, all the passengers are said to be safe. At present, the police and administration are busy investigating the entire matter and the documents and technical flaws of the bus are also being investigated. The big question is, if the passengers had not been alert, how big could this accident have been?

There have been incidents of fire in moving buses in the country before. If such an accident happens to you, what precautions need to be taken? Need to take a look at this. While boarding any bus, first of all one should identify the emergency exit of the bus. Look for the glass breaker with the emergency gate. If you smell smoke coming from the bus, immediately wet your handkerchief and cover your nose and mouth with a wet cloth. It is important to save life first, so when such a time comes, do not give importance to the goods. If the emergency gate gets jammed due to fire, then hit the corner of the window with a hammer.
