Flood of faith on Sangam banks, crores of devotees took holy bath

Mauni Amavasya 2026: On the auspicious occasion, a wonderful sight of faith and devotion is being seen on the banks of Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Due to the bathing festival of Mauni Amavasya on Sunday, crores of devotees have reached Prayagraj for the Magh Mela. Long queues of devotees were seen since morning for the holy bath at Sangam, due to which the entire area was immersed in a devotional atmosphere.

Keeping in view the possibility of huge crowd, the administration has unprecedentedly strengthened the security and arrangements. A large number of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed on the Sangam bank and surrounding areas. Along with this, necessary guidelines are being given to the devotees through continuous announcements, so that no one faces any inconvenience and the crowd can be kept under control.

For the convenience of the devotees, help centers have been set up at various places, where help related to health, information and guidance is being provided. Civil Defense volunteers are also actively deployed, motivating the devotees to return home directly after taking bath. The aim of the administration is to ensure that there is no unnecessary interruption after bathing, so that the crowd does not increase further.

A devotee who came to take bath in Sangam on Mauni Amavasya 2026 said that after the holy bath, she felt amazing peace and contentment. He said that despite the harsh cold, the devotees taking bath with such faith shows the special grace of God.
