Free ‘Pink Mobility Card’ scheme launched for women in Delhi

President Draupadi Murmu will launch the Delhi government’s ‘Pink National Common Mobility Card’ scheme on Monday. Through this card, women of Delhi will get the facility of free travel in buses. This program will be organized at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium under the name ‘Strong Women, Prosperous Delhi’. The special thing about this pink card is that bus, metro, RRTS and other public transport services can be used with a single smart card. According to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, women will get the facility of free travel in DTC buses, while the card can be used for payment in other services.

In this program, a scheme to provide two free LPG cylinders to ration card holding families every year on Holi and Diwali will also be started. Apart from this, ‘Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana’ will also be started, under which daughters of poor families will be given financial assistance for education. Under this scheme, it is expected that an amount of more than Rs 1 lakh including interest will be received by the age of 21 years.
