New Delhi. The tableau of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the Republic Day Parade, Bharat Gatha: Shruti, Kriti, Drishti will present a powerful visual story of India’s civilizational journey in the art of storytelling. It will showcase the entire journey from ancient oral traditions to its rise as a global content and media powerhouse. The tableau reflects the spirit of self-reliant India, which seamlessly blends cultural heritage with technological innovation. Shruti symbolizes the rich oral heritage of India, depicted through the Guru imparting knowledge to the disciples under the Peepal tree. Along with this, sound-wave motifs representing the cosmic resonance of Om and the origin of knowledge are also displayed. The work marks the evolution of written expression, with Lord Ganesha writing the Mahabharata. It is also shown through visuals from manuscripts, performing arts and early communication traditions that shaped India’s intellectual heritage. The vision showcases the evolution of India’s media across print, cinema, television and digital platforms. Visual elements such as vintage cameras, film reels, satellites, newspapers and box offices pay homage to the generations of filmmakers and artists who have shaped India’s cultural identity. Artists make this tableau come alive. This theme is in line with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s goal of establishing India as a global content hub, which is further strengthened by Waves 2025. The conference marked the dawn of the Orange Economy, with huge participation from across the globe and significant business deals. The tableau serves as both a cultural timeline and a forward-thinking vision statement, connecting India’s ancient wisdom with its digital future.
