
Mandavi Hidma Encounter: Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh’s biggest Naxalite Hidma, carrying a reward of Rs 1 crore, was killed by security forces during the encounter. In this encounter, 6 Naxalites including Hidma were killed. After Hidma was killed, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to senior officials of Chhattisgarh. According to sources, the security forces had set a deadline of November 30, 2025 regarding Hidma, but 12 days before that the dreaded Naxalite commander was killed by the security forces.
Amit Shah had talked about eliminating Naxalites during an interview a few days ago. Just 17 days later, the biggest Naxalite Hidma was killed. He had said, “Naxalites should return to the mainstream. Arrangements have been made for this. After their surrender, arrangements have been made to stay in a rehab center for 6 months, where there is provision of a psychiatrist. There is also a plan for their employment skill development. Plans have been made for their rehabilitation.”
Home Minister had warned
Home Minister Amit Shah had warned the Naxalites during the interview itself that they should surrender and return to the mainstream, otherwise the police will neutralize them in the operation. Not only this, he had told that a promise has been made to eliminate Naxalism by 31 March 2026. He said, at one time Naxalism was spread in 130 districts of the country, which is now left in only 11 districts. Three districts are most affected in this. Those too will end by March 31st.
The prize was worth Rs 1 crore
Naxalite Hidma, carrying a bounty of Rs 1 crore, was accused of being the mastermind of at least 26 major attacks. Hidma, 43, was responsible for at least 26 armed attacks, including the 2013 Darbha Valley massacre and the 2017 Sukma ambush. From today, the story of Hidma, born in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, ends.
