Palash Sen shared a post on Instagram. In this, he told about his first film as an actor ‘Filhaal’ and the reaction of the industry at that time. In the post he wrote, ‘Twenty-four years ago on February 2, my first film ‘Filhaal’ was released. It was a flop. Most of the critics criticized me and many people from the film industry trolled me. A model-turned-actress woman scolded me and many others did the same. Anyway I had no interest in films.

I did this film only because I wanted to sing a song written by the great poet-writer Gulzar Sahab. Having this song composed by the legendary Anu ji was like another dream come true for me. That was it. I really don’t know why I was considered a threat. I just went to have fun and do my work diligently. Working with the amazing Sushu (Sushmita Sen), Tabu and Sanjay was a reward for me. Working under the direction of the brilliant Meghna has been a priceless experience of my life. I have only beautiful memories and I am very proud of the film from this point forward. In fact, now that it has become so successful on television, I feel very happy and grateful.
Told why Arijit left playback singing
In this post, Palash also talked about Arijit’s decision of retirement. He further wrote in the post, ‘The truth is that I know why my brother Arijit is leaving the film playback. I too was on the same path many years ago and had chosen my own path. The same path on which Arijit will now walk. Palash further told in the post that that year he also received nominations for several Best Newcomer Awards. However, he could not win anywhere. He said that even though he did not get awards, the love of the fans meant everything to him.

Arijit took retirement last month
Arijit Singh had announced his retirement from playback singing on Instagram last month. In his post he wrote, ‘Hello, Happy New Year to all of you. I want to thank you all for loving me so much over the years as listeners. I am happy to announce that from now on I will not be doing any new work as a playback singer. I am retiring. It has been a wonderful journey. However, Arijit clarified that he will continue making music and said that he wants to do something new. He also said that now he hopes that new talents will inspire him with their music.
