Islamabad. Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan may be shifted from jail to hospital this week. Following reports of deterioration in his health, especially his eyesight, the government has indicated to take this step. According to the information, it is proposed to be injected in his eye between 21st and 26th February, for which the jail administration is preparing to take him to the hospital.
According to Pakistani media reports, Imran Khan may be taken to AI-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital for special eye treatment. This hospital is known for modern machines and expert doctors. At present, consideration is going on whether he should be kept admitted in the hospital or brought back to jail after giving the necessary dose. The final decision will be taken by the medical team of doctors.
Imran Khan is lodged in Adiala jail since 2023. A recent health report claimed that 85 percent of his vision in one eye has been affected. After this report the concern of his supporters has increased.
Pakistan’s Shahbaz government minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has also said that in view of Imran Khan’s health, a decision has been taken to constitute a medical board and shift him to the hospital. Here, the Supreme Court has also taken cognizance of Imran Khan’s health condition. The court has asked to form a medical team to examine his eyes and allow him to meet his family. Advocate Salman, who was appointed amicus curiae by the Supreme Court, recently met him in jail and submitted his health report to the court. After the court’s instructions, he may also be allowed to talk to his wife Bushra Bibi.
It is noteworthy that before coming into politics, Imran Khan had been a leading all-rounder and captain of international cricket.
