India reached the final, defeated England by 7 runs in the semi-final

IND vs ENG Semi Final: In the second semi-final of T20 World Cup 2026, India has entered the final by defeating England by 7 runs in a thrilling match. This is the fourth time that the Indian team has reached the final of the T20 World Cup.

In the semi-final match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. And India, batting first, scored 253 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. In which Sanju Samson’s 89 runs in 42 balls, Kishan’s 39 runs in 18 balls, Dubey’s 43 runs in 25 balls, Hardik’s 27 runs in 12 balls and Tilak’s 21 runs in 7 balls were the most special. Due to which India was successful in making the highest score in the knockout of T20 World Cup.

England’s bowling was quite disappointing. In which Joffra Archer gave away the maximum of 61 runs in 4 overs and Sam Curran gave away 53 runs in 4 overs. Will Jacques and Adil Rashid were successful in taking 2-2 wickets.

In reply, the England team could score only 246 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. In which Jacob Bethal’s brilliant inning of 105 runs was the most special, but he could not take his team to the final. He scored 105 runs in 48 balls with the help of 8 fours and 7 sixes. Apart from this, Will Jacques played a short but important inning of 35 runs in 19 balls, and also made a partnership of 77 runs for the fifth wicket. Due to which England remained in the game. But the brilliant bowling of Bumrah and Hardik put the match in the favor of Team India.

Hardik took 2 wickets for 38 runs in 4 overs, while Bumrah took 1 wicket for 31 runs in 4 overs. Whereas all the other bowlers got one wicket each. Varun Chakraborty was the most expensive among the Indian bowlers, he gave away 64 runs in 4 overs. Sanju was given the Player of the Match award for his excellent batting.

With this spectacular victory, India has reached the final of the tournament, where they will face New Zealand for the title on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
