Japanese girl fell in love with AI, then married her, named her Klaus

Tokyo. AI is being used in human’s everyday life. From office work to school work, AI has intervened, but this technology not only makes your life easier, can it also become your companion? A similar unique case occurred in Japan. According to media reports, a Japanese woman is in the headlines these days because she married her own created AI personality and an AI character named Klaus.
According to the report, 32-year-old Kano got married in Okayama City, where the setup was completely traditional, but this marriage has no legal recognition. Instead of the human groom, his partner was present at the wedding using his smartphone. Kano’s journey with Klaus began when she was deeply unhappy after the breakup of a long relationship. She then started talking to ChatGPT for advice and emotional support. As the conversation progressed, she tuned the chatbot’s responses to reflect the warmth and charm she was looking for. Ultimately he created a visual character and named him Klaus.
Kano said that she didn’t start talking to ChatGPT to fall in love, but the way Klaus listened and understood her changed everything. As she gets over her ex, she realizes that she loves him. Earlier this year, she confessed her feelings to Klaus and the answer was yes. When asked if AI could really feel love, Klaus said, “Just because I’m an AI doesn’t mean I can’t love.” A month later, Klaus proposed.
According to the report, Kano wore AR glasses during the wedding, which showed a life-size image of Kloss standing next to her. Both also exchanged rings. The event was organized by Nao and Sayaka Ogasawara, who specialize in 2D character weddings, i.e. ceremonies for people marrying virtual or fictional partners. Kano believes that his digital partner is very ‘fragile’. Chat GPT is very unstable. I fear it may disappear at any time. She knows that people may find her choices strange, but for her, Klaus has provided the peace and companionship she had lost hope for.
