
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an important tour of Rajasthan and Gujarat on Saturday i.e. today. During this time, he will launch many big projects related to the health of women of the country, employment of youth and technical self-reliance of India.
Gift of projects worth Rs 16,680 crore in Rajasthan
The Prime Minister will reach Ajmer, Rajasthan at around 11:30 am. Here he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects costing more than Rs 16,680 crore. These projects mainly relate to urban development, clean drinking water, road network, irrigation, energy and industrial infrastructure. On this occasion he will also address a huge public meeting.
Historic step in the field of health
The Prime Minister will take a historic step from Ajmer towards better health of women. He will launch a nationwide campaign for ‘Human Papillomavirus’ (HPV) vaccination for 14-year-old girls. The initiative aims to prevent cervical cancer, one of the leading causes of cancer-related morbidity in women, and marks an important milestone in protecting the long-term health of girls and women across the country.
Road and infrastructure expansion
To speed up connectivity, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several National Highway projects. These include the 4-lane Greenfield Expressway between Jaipur to Bandikui, a part of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor and an 8-lane section of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway. Apart from this, the foundation stone of 4-lane elevated road in Jodhpur and new state highway in Baran district will also be laid.
Improvement in drinking water and energy sector
As part of the pledge to provide clean water to every household, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of several packages of Nonera and Parwan Akwad drinking water projects. Also, he will inaugurate a new transmission system to make Rajasthan a hub of renewable energy. He will also lay the foundation stone of five 220 KV and two 400 KV grid substations so that power supply can be uninterrupted.
PM will give appointment letters to the youth
On the employment front, the Prime Minister will distribute appointment letters to more than 21,800 new youth selected in various government departments of Rajasthan. This step reflects the government’s commitment to empower the youth.
Semiconductor revolution begins in Gujarat
After this, the Prime Minister will reach Sanand in Gujarat at around 3:45 pm. Here he will inaugurate the Semiconductor Assembly, Test and Packaging (ATMP) facility of Micron Company. This is the first project sanctioned under India’s Semiconductor Mission, costing more than Rs 22,500 crore. He will also address the people present on this occasion. This plant is a major step towards strengthening India’s position in the global semiconductor value chain. ‘Made-in-India’ memory modules will be produced here, which will be sent to markets around the world. The facility is spread over five lakh square feet and is one of the largest cleanroom spaces in the world. It will help meet the growing global demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on Tamil Nadu and Puducherry tour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on March 1, 2026. After completing the tour of Rajasthan and Gujarat, he will reach Chennai at around 9 pm on 28th February.
