Patna. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is going to Rajya Sabha. CM Nitish gave this information on Facebook. Nitish wrote that for more than two decades, you have continuously maintained your trust and support with me, and on the strength of that we have served Bihar and all of you with full devotion. It was on the strength of your trust and support that today Bihar is presenting a new dimension of development and respect. For this I have expressed my gratitude to you many times in the past also.
According to media reports, ever since I started my parliamentary career, I had a desire in my mind to become a member of both the houses of the Bihar Legislative Assembly as well as the Parliament. In this sequence, I want to become a member of Rajya Sabha in this election. I want to assure you with all sincerity that this relationship of mine with you will continue in the future also and my resolve to build a developed Bihar with you will remain the same. The new government that will be formed will have my full support and guidance.
Nitish Kumar filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections on Thursday. This indicates that a new Chief Minister can be made in the state. However, reports in a section of the media have described Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai as strong contenders. The names of Vijay Sinha and Mangal Pandey, who have long experience in government and organization, can also be considered.
