Now call Anshika, not Ashiya… Girl adopted Hindu religion in Bareilly

Bareilly: An amazing story of love marriage has come to light in Bareilly District of Uttar Pradesh. Which is being discussed throughout the district. A 20-year-old Muslim girl converted to Hinduism and married her lover Monu. Both of them took seven rounds as per Hindu customs at Agastya Muni Ashram in Madhinath, Bareilly. After marriage, the girl has demanded protection from the police citing threat to her life from her family.

Ashiya, a 20 year old girl living in Mirganj area of ​​the district, is in love with Monu. To marry her lover, she converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Anshika. Despite opposition from family and society, both of them decided to live together. Now after marriage, both are living in an atmosphere of fear. The girl who got married after changing her religion to become a Hindu says that her ancestors were also Hindus.

The love story of Monu and Anshika is about five years old. Anshika’s sister’s marriage took place in Pipalsana village of Bhojipura police station area. About five years ago Anshika had gone to her sister’s house. During that time, he met Monu in the village fair. Conversation started and gradually both of them became friends. This friendship turned into love. Both started talking on the phone and started understanding each other. Monu currently lives in Delhi and works in fruits and vegetables.

When both of them decided to get married and told the family, the situation started worsening. Anshika says that when she told her brother-in-law about this relationship, he refused to marry her on the grounds of different religions. It is alleged that he was also threatened with death. Despite opposition and fear from the family, both remained firm on their decision. Both of them say that they are adults and want to marry as per their own wish.

Before marriage, Anshika gave an affidavit to the District Magistrate. In this he gave information about change of name and religion. In the affidavit, Anshika wrote that her ancestors were forcibly converted to Islam and her faith has always been in Hinduism. She also said that she was not happy with some of the practices prevalent in Islam and had been worshiping Lord Shiva for the last several years.

After this, both of them reached Agastya Muni Ashram located in Madhinath. There Pandit KK Shankhdhar solemnized the marriage with Vedic mantras. The purification process was done before the marriage. Ganga water was drunk and Gayatri Mantra was chanted. After this, Monu and Anshika took seven rounds considering Agni as witness.

Monu applied vermillion to Anshika, wore Mangalsutra and all the rituals were performed as per Sanatan tradition. Anshika also wore toe rings and other wedding jewellery. Pandit KK Shankhdhar told that the girl is an adult and she has converted and got married on her own free will without any pressure.

Both of them are scared since marriage. Anshika alleges that her family members are angry with this marriage and her life is in danger. For this reason, both of them are currently living in a safe and secret place. According to the information, both of them will reach Bhojipura police station on Saturday and hand over the documents related to their marriage to the police and demand security.
