Ghaziabad: A case of 25 passports being made at a single address has come to light in Ghaziabad district. The same mobile number is registered on all passports. As soon as the police came to know about this forgery, it was informed to the Passport Department. A complaint has been registered against 25 people in the case. Police and Passport Department are investigating the entire matter. The incident took place in Bhojpur police station area of the district.
Police investigation has revealed that passports have been made in the names of 25 people. They all have the same address and the same mobile number is written on all the forms. All these passports were made between August and September 2022. There is a suspicion that this was not made to cause any major disaster in the country or some gang is working to make fake passports. The police is also investigating the complicity of the passport department in this.
An FIR has been registered in the case against 25 people in Bhojpur police station. People against whom FIR has been registered. Apart from Amanpreet Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Ritu Sharma, Megha Rana, Rajkumari Daljit Singh, Mahendra Kaur, Yashoda Rai, Basanti Rai, Jeet Kaur, Shamsher Singh etc., the names of postman Arun Kumar are also included. A case has been registered against everyone under the IT Act. Such a case has come to light in three villages of the district.
Arun Kumar has been working as a postman for 12 years and delivers mail to Bhojpur. In one case the police had gone to him for questioning. During that time the postman told the police that about 5 months ago two people named Vivek Gandhi and Prakash had come to him, who had told him that our passports would come and not to send the passports to the address written on them. Send that passport to us. For this, both the youths asked the postman to pay Rs 2000 per passport. Arun got greedy for money and whoever came for the passport related address, he would take Rs 2000 per passport and give it to them.
The police included the postman’s name in the case, but could he have come to the same address without passport officer and police verification? The police is avoiding telling this. The police did not even hold any press conference for such a big case. The Passport Department also did not issue any statement in this matter. In such a situation, negligence of both the departments is coming to the fore.
In the process of making a passport, verification is done by the police. After this, passport department officials also check the form. Now the question arises that even after police verification and passport office investigation, how were 25 passports made at the same address. The police is still silent on all these questions.
Police took action in this case and arrested four accused including a woman. All the accused are said to be residents of different areas of Delhi. Police said that many fake documents have also been recovered from the arrested accused. The police is interrogating the accused and investigating from every aspect.
