Opposition may get a big shock, NDA will be in bumper profit

New Delhi. This year, elections are to be held for 72 Rajya Sabha seats in different states. Elections have been announced for 37 seats in ten states next month. Only MLAs vote for the election of Rajya Sabha members. Only BJP and its allies are in a position to gain in the elections to be held in March; the opposition camp may face a setback. Out of 37 seats, BJP may gain three seats and its allies may gain two seats.

Elections are being held for 37 seats in ten states on 16 March 2026. Prominent leaders whose tenure is completing in these elections include Sharad Pawar, Harivansh Narayan Singh, Ramnath Thakur, Upendra Kushwaha, Ramdas Athawale, M Thambidurai, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Premchand Gupta and Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

Maximum benefit in Bihar
Five seats are falling vacant in Bihar, which includes two seats of JDU, two seats of RJD and one seat of RLM. Both JDU and BJP can win two seats each and their ally can win one seat. Here 42 votes are required for one seat. NDA has 202 MLAs. That means four seats are confirmed. The opposition does not have 42 MLAs. In such a situation, NDA can win even the fifth seat through manipulation, because in the event of elections, it is difficult for the opposition to make a dent in NDA.

Of the three vacant seats in Assam, there are two BJP MPs and one independent MP. This time it is almost certain that two MPs from BJP and one from Congress will be elected. In Chhattisgarh, both the Congress MPs are retiring.

In Chhattisgarh, both the Congress MPs are retiring. After the elections, BJP and Congress are likely to get one seat each. In Haryana, both the seats are falling vacant for BJP, but after the elections only one seat will go to BJP and one seat will go to Congress. One seat of BJP is falling vacant in Himachal and this seat will go to Congress.

7 seats becoming vacant in Maharashtra
7 seats are falling vacant in Maharashtra, which includes two seats of BJP, one seat of Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray, two seats of NCP Sharad Pawar, one seat of Congress and one seat of Republican Party. After the elections, BJP will get three seats, NCP (Ajit Pawar) one, Shiv Sena (Shinde) one, Congress one and if BJP wants, RPI can get one seat. Here Sharad Pawar is in trouble, for him the parties of India Alliance may have to give up their seats, but it is not easy.

Four seats are falling vacant in Odisha. Of these, two are from BJP and two from BJP. There is again a possibility of both the parties getting two seats each. Six seats of Tamil Nadu are falling vacant. Of these, four are from DMK and one from TMC and one from AIADMK. DMK is again in a position to win four seats. AIADMK will also win one seat. The decision on a seat will depend on local electoral circumstances. Of the two vacant seats in Telangana, one belongs to Congress and one to BRS. This time both the seats will go to Congress.

Five seats are falling vacant from West Bengal. Of these, four were with Trinamool Congress and one was with CPI(M). In the current assembly, Trinamool Congress will again get four seats, while BJP will get one seat.
