Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Jordan on 15–16 December and Ethiopia on 6–17 December, 2025

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jordan on December 15–16, 2025, at the invitation of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan. During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein to review the entire gamut of relations between India and Jordan and exchange views on regional issues.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, PM Modi’s visit presents an opportunity to further strengthen India-Jordan bilateral cooperation, explore new opportunities for shared development and prosperity, and reiterate our commitment to promote regional peace, prosperity, security and stability.
At the same time, in the second phase of the visit, PM Modi will meet the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Dr. Abiy will visit Ethiopia on December 16–17, 2025 at the invitation of Ahmed Ali. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Ethiopia. PM Modi, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy will hold wide-ranging discussions with Ahmed Ali on all aspects of India-Ethiopia bilateral relations. As partners in the Global South, this visit will reiterate the two countries’ shared commitment to deepen their friendship and bilateral cooperation.
Subsequently, in the final leg of the visit, PM Modi will visit Oman on December 17–18, 2025, at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to Oman.
