Talking to Variety, Ram Charan said, ‘Naming the children was a very special decision for us. Upasana and I talked about this a lot. Our parents were also an important part of this decision. In our culture, blessings and guidance of elders matter a lot.

Shivram and Anvira Devi have been named

Their son has been named Shivram. This name is inspired by Lord Shiva and Lord Rama. Ram Charan told that this name has the feeling of strength, restraint, religion and compassion. Additionally, this name is also linked to her father’s birth name ‘Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad’, thereby carrying forward the family legacy. The daughter has been named Anvira Devi. This name has a feeling of courage and female power. Ram Charan said, ‘Veera means bravery and ‘An’ makes it limitless. We have added the word ‘Devi’ deliberately, to remember that strength and gentleness can go together.’ He said that for him these names are not just names, but a wish of strength, love and courage for his children.
