
Jaipur/Bikaner: Army’s three-day integrated firing exercise “Sentinel Strike” was successfully organized in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan. This exercise was conducted by Sapta Shakti Command in the Mahajan Field Firing Range from 28 to 30 October 2025. Its objective was to strengthen the strategic capability and mutual coordination of the army according to the changing nature of modern warfare.
Defense spokesperson Lt Col Nikhil Dhawan said that in this exercise, diverse firing platforms were used in an integrated manner, which included mechanized forces and ground weapon systems and air firing. In this military exercise, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander Sapt Shakti Command and other senior military officers were present.
Counter Drone and C-UAS Operations: In this large-scale exercise, combined use of mechanized forces, ground weapon systems and aerial platforms was made. During the exercise, along with ground and air firing, the soldiers also conducted counter drone and C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aerial System) operations to deal with the drone threat.
Better coordination was seen: Defense spokesperson Lt Col Nikhil Dhawan said that during this war exercise, modern artillery weapons, Ajeya (T-72 tank), BMP vehicles and attack helicopters together demonstrated tremendous power. Indigenously developed long-range air and ground systems played a key role in the exercise. During this, excellent coordination was seen between different branches, which proved how the Indian Army is successfully incorporating modern technology in its operations.
The display of fire power showed tremendous accuracy on target. Real-time information on battlefield conditions was shared through surveillance and intelligence systems, which significantly improved the effectiveness of joint operations.
Emphasis on self-reliant India: While addressing the soldiers, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh said that the success of the army depends on its constant preparation and technical adaptation. He said that effective use of indigenous military platforms being prepared under ‘Self-reliant India’ will make a major contribution to the strength of the army. In the end, the Army Commander congratulated all the officers and men for their excellent performance and motivated them to continuously enhance their capabilities with new strategies and techniques.
