
Gurugram : Haryana’s Gurugram Police has arrested a lawyer who was trying to harm social and religious harmony by posting fake and inflammatory posts on social media. The accused had shared a false post on his social media account, in which a fabricated claim of rape and murder of a girl was made.
Shaurya Mishra arrested for fake post: Accused Shaurya Mishra had also used fake photographs of a young man and a girl to make the post more effective. Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep said, “On the basis of technical analysis, the accused was identified and arrested from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. The arrested accused has been identified as 25-year-old Hariom Mishra alias Shaurya Mishra, who is a resident of Charwa village of Kaushambi district and has studied LLB.”
Claims to be the District Vice President of BJP Yuva Morcha: Whereas accused Shaurya Mishra has claimed himself to be the District Vice President of BJP Yuva Morcha on his social media platform (X) account. Shaurya Mishra has around 1 lakh followers on his social media platform (X) account. Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep said, “During police interrogation, the accused admitted that he had picked up an objectionable post seen on social media and shared it on his account. The police have also recovered his mobile from the possession of the accused. He will be produced in the court. At present, the police is investigating the matter thoroughly.”
