
Hyderabad: History was made in the last session of the two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit, a special display was organized with 3,000 drones, with this a Guinness World Record was created. Line of drones creates world’s longest aerial slog: ‘Telangana is growing. Come and join this growth. During this time, a spectacular sight was seen in the sky, in which the vision 2047 of the state was shown.
The drone show took place at Bharat Future City on Tuesday night, soon after which Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unveiled the document in this spectacular event.
Earlier, a robot was the center of attraction, which handed over the Vision 2047 document to Reddy. This document was released in the presence of former RBI Governor Duvvuri Subba Rao, former Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramaniam, NITI Aayog VC Suman Berry, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, Telugu actor K Chiranjeevi and others.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair addressed this event virtually. He said, “The progress from the formation of Telangana in 2014 till today’s historic day is in itself a strong promise for the future.”
“From initial difficulties, the state has reinvented itself as a powerhouse of technology, agriculture and inclusive growth. In many ways, Telangana has become a model for other parts of the world,” he said.
Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, who participated through video conferencing, said that emphasis has been laid on new technology in the vision document, which will make governance more transparent and effective.
He said, “The next steps to realize this vision are implementation, continuous feedback and timely course correction. I look forward to being a part of this transformative journey.”
Subramaniam said that Telangana is not only on the map of India but also on the global map as the center of the country’s IT revolution. He said, “The vision document reflects the next structural change: moving from a dynamic IT-driven economy to a people-centric technological ecosystem. It represents a sea change in the state’s development path.”
Subba Rao said, “Telangana is becoming India’s number one growth state. Hyderabad stands strong as the hub of pharma, bio and services sectors. With tremendous growth, skilled youth and the vision of a developed Telangana, this state is truly unstoppable and unmatched.” Very noted that Telangana has already achieved upper-middle-income economy status as per the World Bank classification — an expectation that India aims to achieve in the next five years.
He said, “In this context, Telangana’s desire to make a mark for itself globally is timely and right. NITI Aayog has the opportunity to partner with the state in articulating this vision, and we look forward to working with it at every step of Telangana’s development.”
