Chennai . Tamil Nadu Congress President K. Selvaperunthagai made it clear that there will be an agreement on seat sharing between Congress and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) after talks. He said that there is no confusion between the two parties. He said that in every election there are talks, and every party demands more seats, and eventually a compromise is reached. We are demanding some more seats from DMK, and a compromise will be reached.
Congress leader Selvaperunthagai said that the DMK and Congress, India Bloc alliance is a natural alliance, an ideological alliance. What is there to disagree about? In every election, all parties, even small parties, demand more seats. Our Chief Minister Stalin is definitely going to consider this. There is no problem, everything is running smoothly. He dismissed rumors of talks between Congress and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and said that we have not talked to TVK. Who said we talked to TVK? I am PCC President. My high command also did not give me any instructions to talk to them directly or indirectly. We do not do any secret politics.
These statements have come amid the ongoing talks between Congress and DMK regarding seat sharing in the state. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge Girish Chodankar also expressed optimism over the ongoing talks with the DMK leadership on seat sharing. Chodankar said that we have shared our respective wish lists and we will inform you as soon as it is finalized. We have full hope and confidence that our wishes will be fulfilled.
