‘The bomb is about to explode…’ Threat to blow up Red Fort and Assembly

New Delhi. An e-mail threatening to blow up the Red Fort and Delhi Assembly has been received, in which it is written that the bomb is about to explode. The threat was allegedly sent in the name of Khalistani group, after which the security agencies were alerted. As soon as the information was received, the Bomb Squad and other security agencies conducted a thorough investigation of the entire area, but no suspicious thing was found. At present, the investigation is ongoing. Many teams including Delhi Police have started identifying the person who threatened to blow up the bomb. According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS) officials, information about the threat was received at around 8.50 am on Monday morning. After which the team of bomb detection team, fire department, bomb disposal squad and dog squad reached the spot and investigated intensively.

Increased security of Red Fort

Delhi Police has already tightened the security arrangements of Red Fort. Security agencies had received input that there was a possibility of a blast in Red Fort or crowded areas. On the basis of which Delhi Police increased the security. However, while investigating, Delhi Police has also arrested 8 suspected accused. The allegation against them is that all these accused were planning a big blast. Some of these accused were also found to be associated with Pakistan’s terrorist organization ISI organization. At present, the accused have been produced in the court and sent on police remand.
