Karnaprayag (Chamoli). The temple gates of Badrinath Dham will be opened for the devotees with rituals on 23rd April. The date of opening of doors of Badrinath Dham was announced today on Vasant Panchami. Earlier on Thursday, members of Dimri Religious Central Panchayat from Dimmer left for Rishikesh along with Gadu Ghada. On Friday, the priest reached Narendranagar Raj Darbar with Gadu pitcher. Here, the date of inauguration of Lord Badrivishal Dham Kapatodghatan was announced in the traditional manner.
The doors of Lord Badrivishal will be opened on 23rd April at 6:15 on Brahma Kaal Muhurta. Gadu Ghada Yatra will start on April 7. On Thursday morning, priest Tika Prasad Dimri and Acharyas of Dimmer village performed Mahabhishek puja of Lord and Gadu Ghada with Vishnu Sahastranam and Namavalis and offered Baal Bhog at Sri Lakshmi-Narayan Temple in Dimmar. After this, the Dimri priests of Badrinath Dham circumambulated the temple carrying Gadu pitcher. Then with the cheers of Lord Sri Badri Vishal, the yatra left for Rishikesh for the night stay.
On Vasant Panchami in the morning, Dimri priest reached Narendra Nagar Rajdarbar from Rishikesh with Gadu pitcher. Where Maharaja Manujendra Shah announced the date of opening of the doors of Lord Badrivishal after the Panchang Puja, threading of sesame oil to be used in the Mahabhishek of the Lord and the date of Gaadu Ghada Oil Kalash Yatra.
