About six months after his confrontation with President Trump, he attended a public event in the capital Washington. Elon Musk also attended Trump’s state dinner organized in honor of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Musk has also canceled his plan to form a new political party.
Musk has also said that he will support and fund Trump’s Republican Party candidates in the 2026 midterm elections. Through this they indicated that they were choosing the path of friendship and not confrontation. The situation was completely different from today when Musk left Washington in May. Musk was then angry over the Trump administration’s Big Beautiful Bill and his close friend Jared Isaacman not being made NASA chief. Musk had claimed that Trump is not releasing secret documents related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein because his name is also in them. Musk had publicly announced to form a third party (America Party) and challenge the Republican Party. Now the situation is reversed. Musk’s team is hosting a 2-day DOGE team reunion at a luxury hotel in Austin, with dinner planned as well as factory tours of Tesla, SpaceX, and The Boring Company. Musk himself may also participate in this. These are indications that an agreement has been reached between the two.
