
Vande Mataram Parliament Discussion: On the completion of 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, a special discussion will be organized in the winter session of Parliament. 10 hours have been kept for discussion. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has given approval for this. The historical and cultural importance of this inspirational song during the freedom struggle will be discussed.
PM Modi will participate in the discussion
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the discussion on ‘Vande Mataram’. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had called an all-party meeting on 30 November. In this meeting, the Business Advisory Committee of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha agreed on this proposal. Members of the parties involved in the government had advocated this. Along with this, NDA members had advocated discussion on Vande Mataram in Rajya Sabha.
PM released postage stamp and coin
On completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram, programs will be organized from 7 November 2025 to 7 November 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the program organized at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi on 7 November. Where he issued postage stamps and coins. Along with this he also released vandemataram150.in portal. On this, people can upload their videos singing the national song and get a certificate.
Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote 150 years ago
In the year 1875, ‘Vande Mataram’ was written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in a book named Anand Math. Which later became the song of the freedom struggle. Freedom fighters used to spread the freedom revolution among the common people by singing this song. It was first sung publicly in 1896 at the Calcutta session of the Congress. After the implementation of the Constitution in the country, it was chosen as the national anthem on 24 January 1950.
