There will be huge crowd in Mathura Vrindavan on New Year, avoid traveling from 29th to 5th January

Mathura. In view of the possibility of a large number of devotees arriving in Vrindavan for the darshan of Shri Banke Bihari Ji on the occasion of New Year 2026, the temple administration and the High Power Management Committee have issued important guidelines. The administration has warned of excessive crowd from 29 to 5 January 2026 and has appealed to the devotees to postpone the Vrindavan Yatra during this period or come only after assessing the crowd situation.
Every year on the occasion of New Year, lakhs of devotees from India and abroad reach Vrindavan. Keeping this in mind, this time too the administration has already started preparations to maintain security and order. The temple administration says that the safety of the devotees is the top priority and this advisory has been issued to avoid any kind of chaos or accident. For crowd control, separate entry and exit routes have been set up in the temple. Devotees have been requested to use only the routes decided by the administration and completely follow the instructions of the security personnel. It is advised to avoid pushing or being hasty in any situation.
The administration has appealed to the devotees not to bring bags, valuables or unnecessary items with them. Take off shoes and slippers only at designated places, for which special arrangements have been made on main roads. Pickpockets and mobile thieves remain active during rush hours, hence people have been asked to keep a special eye on their belongings and children. To avoid the situation of separation from family members, it has been advised to keep a slip with name, address and mobile number written in every person’s pocket. This will make it easier for the administration and police to help in any emergency.
