
Today, from December 1, 2025, many important rules have changed across the country, which will have a direct impact on the pockets and daily lives of common people. From changes in LPG and commercial cylinder prices to Aadhaar updates, reforms in EPFO and GST processes, many big rules have come into effect.
Change in price of LPG cylinder
Petroleum marketing companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 10. The new rates have come into effect from today. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders. At present the price of domestic LPG in most of the cities of the country is between Rs 850 to Rs 960.
Aadhaar update made easy
UIDAI has made major changes in the Aadhaar update process. Now information like name, address, date of birth and mobile number can be easily updated online. Verification will be based on PAN card or passport. Along with this, the new UIDAI Aadhaar app has also been launched, which will make the update process faster.
New traffic rules come into force
New traffic rules have come into effect in many states from December 1. Now additional processing fees will be charged for online challan submission. If there is no PUC certificate, heavy fine will be charged.
Changes in EPFO procedures
EPFO has revised the process of UAN-KYC linking, e-Nomination and pension update. If nomination is not complete, there may be delays and problems in PF claim.
Reforms in GST rules
The new GSTR-1 and 3B filing calendar has been implemented to ease GST compliance for e-commerce and small businesses. Besides, new TCS/TDS rates have also been implemented on many digital platforms.
