Two accused arrested in Rs 800 crore online betting fraud case

Mumbai The Cyber ​​Crime Cell of Surat Police has arrested two accused from Mumbai airport in the Rs 800 crore online betting fraud case. The police officer said that Jatin Thakkar alias John Raper (27) and Deepkumar Thakkar (24) were produced in the court, from where they were sent to six days police custody.
Earlier, the Cyber ​​​​Crime Cell had conducted a raid in Katargam area of ​​Surat and arrested Meet Shah, Yash Shinde, Hrishikesh Sapkal, Nilesh Solanki and Paresh Kumar Modi on charges of cheating people through online betting portal or platform. The police officer said that the accused were allegedly using 149 bank accounts and 417 complaints have been filed across India regarding these accounts. When Jatin and Deepkumar absconded, Surat Police had issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against them.
