UP Assembly Session: There was a lot of uproar during the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. The opposition tried to corner the government over cough syrup containing codeine. Whereas CM Yogi fiercely attacked the Samajwadi Party. When the SP MLA showed the photo of the accused with the Deputy Chief Minister, the CM called it ‘a straw in a thief’s beard’. Not only this, CM Yogi, without taking names, said that there are two ‘Noomnes’ in the country, one of whom sits here and the other runs away abroad whenever a serious issue is discussed. After the sharp attack by CM Yogi, SP walked out of the House.
Taking aim at the opposition, CM Yogi said, “There are two models within the country. One sits in Delhi and the other in Lucknow. As soon as there is any discussion in the country, they immediately leave the country and I think the same is happening with your ‘Babua’. He too will leave the country again to travel to England and you people will keep making noise here.”
Got license in SP government
The CM further said, “Firstly, there has been no death in Uttar Pradesh due to codeine cough syrup. Secondly, action will be taken in this case under the NDPS Act. The Uttar Pradesh government has won this case in the court. Thirdly, the largest wholesaler in Uttar Pradesh, who was first arrested by the STF, was issued a license by the Samajwadi Party in 2016.
Bulldozer will be used on the culprits
CM Yogi said on the Leader of Opposition that at this age he should speak the truth. But SP people are making him lie. After this, the debate regarding CM’s word ‘Sample’ intensified. When the Leader of Opposition raised objection about this statement of the CM, the Assembly Speaker defended the CM and said that he has not taken anyone’s name. CM Yogi said not to worry, STF is investigating the cough syrup case. Bulldozer action will also be taken against the culprits. The opposition should not make noise.
