Uproar in Hyderabad after murder of cow protector, Telangana BJP president arrested by police

Hyderabad: BJP leaders from Telangana were arrested for protesting against the government by demanding protection of cows and cow protectors with slogans of Jai Shri Ram, Jai Gau Mata and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. These arrests took place during protests at the DGP office.

Telangana BJP state president N. Ramachandra Ravu was arrested by Hyderabad Police today. The action took place when he and his supporters were leading a protest march towards the DGP office demanding strict action against an AIMIM party leader and his associates accused of alleged attack on cow vigilantes. After this incident, political activities have intensified.

BJP alleges that cow vigilantes were attacked in an organized manner in Hyderabad, in which a local leader of AIMIM is alleged to have played an important role. The party claims that the state government, under pressure from AIMIM, is trying to save the culprits, due to which there is deep anger among the cow protectors. Ravu’s march was about expressing this anger and demanding justice.

The police detained Ravu and several other activists for protesting without any prior notice and violating Section 144. However, BJP leaders have described this action as completely politically motivated. He said that when they were raising their demands peacefully, the police lathicharged them and used force to stop them, which is murder of democracy.

This incident reflects the growing political conflict between BJP and AIMIM in Telangana. BJP is working on a strategy to corner AIMIM on the issues of cow protection and law and order, while AIMIM has been calling it an attempt to spread communal tension. Ravu’s arrest has given a new turn to this political fight.
