Thanjavur. Political turmoil has intensified regarding the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. All the political parties are busy finalizing their preparations and equations. Meanwhile, actor-turned-politician Vijay Thalapathy has taken charge on behalf of his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam. He expressed his feelings regarding the elections in a meeting on Wednesday and targeted the ruling party.
Vijay addressed his party officials in Thanjavur. During this, he said, ‘The upcoming assembly elections may be a general election for others, but for me and the people who love me, it is an ocean of emotions’. He appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to give him a chance in the upcoming elections.
In his address, Vijay said that the election symbol of his party is ‘whistle’. This ‘whistle’ should echo in every house and every polling station of Tamil Nadu, so that the party can get a resounding victory. Giving the example of cricket, he said, ‘Delhi team cannot beat Tamil Nadu team even in cricket.’ Through this he also mentioned the slogan of IPL team CSK ‘Whistle Podu’.
Vijay Thalapathy also fiercely attacked the ruling DMK. He once again called DMK as ‘Tiya Shakti’ i.e. ‘evil force’. Vijay also claimed that now even the children of the state have started calling DMK by the same name.
