Mumbai: Vivek Oberoi is in the headlines these days for his many upcoming films. Which includes Namit Malhotra’s ‘Ramayana’, ‘Spirit’ with Prabhas and the film ‘Masti 4’. Vivek will play the role of Ravana’s brother Vibhishana in the film ‘Ramayana’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari. While fans are eagerly waiting for the release of this film, Vivek has done something special for this film, which no other actor of this film has done.
Vivek donated his fees
Vivek Oberoi said in an interview to Hindustan Times, “I told producer Namit Malhotra that I do not want a single penny for the role of Vibhishana. I will donate the entire fee to children suffering from cancer. I like his work and this film will make Indian cinema shine in the world. Editing of the first part is completed. Shooting ends in June 2025. Now there will be 300 days of work on VFX. Post-production is going on.’
A befitting reply to Hollywood
Vivek further said about the film, “‘Ramayana’ is a historical film. It was fun working with the team. Everyone including Yash, Rakul Preet Singh is good. Some shooting is left. Vivek further said, ‘This will be India’s answer to big Hollywood films. VFX company has won 7-8 Oscars. There is nothing better than Ramayana.
Who will play whose role?
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor Prabhu Ram, Sai Pallavi Mata Sita, South Star Yash Ravana, Sunny Deol Hanuman, Ravi Dubey Laxman, Kajal Aggarwal Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh Surpanakha, Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan will also be seen in important roles in Nitesh Tiwari’s film ‘Ramayana’. The film ‘Ramayana Part 1’ will be released worldwide on Diwali 2026. The second part of ‘Ramayana’ will be released on Diwali 2027.
