The anticipation surrounding Vivo’s imaging flagship has finally reached its peak as the Vivo X300 Ultra was officially teased for an Indian launch today, April 17, 2026. Following its successful debut in China and a standout appearance at MWC, the Ultra model is set to arrive in India alongside a more affordable Vivo X300 FE variant, with sales expected to begin as early as May 14.
The Hardware of a Professional Camera
The X300 Ultra is built around a massive, circular Zeiss-tuned camera module that houses a world-first configuration. It features a 200MP periscope telephoto lens alongside a 200MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide. To further blur the line between smartphones and professional gear, Vivo is introducing an external telephoto converter kit—a physical lens attachment that clips onto the back of the phone to extend its optical reach and clarity.
Underneath the glass, it is a beast of a machine. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which enables advanced “Full-Chain HDR” processing and 8K cinematic video at 60fps. To keep the power-hungry camera and processor running, Vivo has utilized a 7,000mAh semi-solid-state battery, a tech leap that allows for higher density and safer operation than traditional Li-ion cells.
