Who is Grand Mufti Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmed?
In fact, Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmed is one of the leading Islamic religious leaders of India and is called the Grand Mufti of India. He is considered a great scholar of Sufi tradition. He is internationally respected for his liberal, peaceful and inclusive interpretation of Islam. The special thing is that Sheikh Abubakr Ahmed was born in 1931 in Kanthapuram, Kerala state of India. He is a well-known Sunni scholar of Kerala, who is doing various social works. He also leads the All India Sunni Jamiatul Ulama. Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmed is the 10th current Grand Mufti of India. He was appointed to this post in February 2019.
