News is coming from diplomatic circles that PM Modi may go on an important visit to Oman and Jordan this month. This visit will not be limited to just shaking hands, rather there is a huge blueprint of ‘Mission West Asia’ hidden behind it.
There will be a ‘grand agreement’ with Oman
The biggest attraction of this visit is the ‘Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement’ (CEPA) with Oman. Intensive discussions on this have been going on between the two countries for the last several months. If this is approved in the presence of PM Modi, then new doors of trade will open between India and Oman. This will not only make Indian goods cheaper in the markets of Oman, but it will also become easier for India to strengthen its hold in the Gulf countries.
