Palghar. A 40-year-old constable of Kasa police station has been arrested for raping a woman in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The incident took place at the police station last week when the victim was called on the pretext of recording her statement.
According to the complaint of the victim woman, the constable forcibly raped her in the police station. As soon as the matter came to light, the police department registered a case of rape against the accused and arrested him on Sunday. Taking the incident seriously, the department has intensified action. The in-charge of Kasa police station has also been transferred after this case. Senior officials are monitoring the investigation of the entire case.
