Zelensky described the amendments being made in the peace plan of Trump administration as better

Kiev. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said revisions to the Trump administration’s peace plan were making progress and “now looking better.” He made the comments after meeting French President Emmanuel Macron, where ending Russia’s nearly four-year-long war was discussed. Meanwhile, the Kremlin, the official residence of the Russian President, confirmed that Vladimir Putin is scheduled to meet US envoy Steve Witkoff.
Zelensky’s visit to Paris followed a meeting in which US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described Ukraine-US talks as “productive”. Both sides are improving the US draft peace plan. This plan has been prepared by America and Russia after discussing among themselves. But the plan is being criticized for giving more attention to Russian demands. The Kremlin claimed Russia had captured Pokrovsk, the key city in the Donetsk region, while Zelensky said fighting was continuing there. At the same time, French President Macron said that the talks are still in the initial stage, but this talk could prove to be a turning point for the future of peace in Ukraine and security in Europe.
