Meerut. There is every possibility of the court giving a historic verdict today in the case of the sensational murder that took place in Neely Drum in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh. The District and Sessions Court will today sentence the main accused in this much-discussed murder case, Sahil and Muskaan, for their crime. Earlier on September 30, the court had convicted both the accused in this serious crime.

This heart-wrenching incident took place on the night of March 3, 2025, when Muskaan, along with her lover Sahil, murdered her own husband Saurabh with utmost cruelty. The story of this dreadful conspiracy hatched by Muskaan Rastogi along with her lover Sahil Shukla to sabotage the dignity of her marital life, still horrifies the general public.
Police investigation and collection of evidence
After committing the murder of Saurabh, both the accused used several deceitful tricks one after the other to escape the clutches of the law and confuse the police. However, the police team involved in the investigation carefully linked all the links, strong evidence and statements of witnesses to create an impenetrable legal trap, which the prosecution presented very effectively before the court.
Investigation officer’s revelations
The then Brahmapuri police station in-charge and currently posted in the crime branch, inspector Ramakant Pachauri, while revealing the layers of the case, said that on March 18, a person named Bablu had come before him and informed about the suspicious disappearance of his brother Saurabh. They suspected that Muskaan and her lover Sahil might be behind this disappearance. Based on this complaint, the police took immediate action and first detained Muskaan and later Sahil Shukla from their residence. When both of them were brought to the police station and interrogated psychologically and strictly, the conspiracy hatched by them was exposed and the noose of police action started tightening on them. Today the court will give its final and strict verdict in this much discussed case.
