Political debate intensifies regarding removal of names of infiltrators, Congress asks three questions to Amit Shah

New Delhi Senior Congress Party leader Jairam Ramesh has made a scathing attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He alleged that the government was deliberately raising the issue of infiltrators to divert the country’s attention from the serious issue of snatching away the voting rights of common citizens on a large scale. The Congress leader has termed the entire process of ‘Special Intensive Revision’ (SIR) as a planned name deletion campaign instigated by the Union Home Minister.

Three important questions asked by Congress leader

Questioning the transparency and propriety of the SIR process, Jairam Ramesh has raised three direct and clear questions to the Union Home Minister through a post on social media platform ‘X’:

  1. How many total infiltrators have been identified across the country?

  2. How many of these infiltrators’ names have been removed from the voter list?

  3. How many identified infiltrators have been sent back to their country?

He further said that under this process, about 100 crore Indians have had to go through SIR, hence the people of the country have every right to know its actual results. He asked whether the government is considering the real voters of the country as foreign citizens?

Claim of attack on constitutional rights

Jairam Ramesh said in strong words that the architects of SIR are repeatedly giving the argument of infiltrators so that the public’s attention can be diverted from the bitter truth that about 14 crore Indians are being deprived of their constitutional right to vote. He sarcastically said that does the government want to prove that these 14 crore Indians are infiltrators?

Sharp reaction of opposition and statements of other leaders

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari also reacted on this entire matter and said that after maintaining silence for a long time, now the Union Home Minister has been forced to speak on this. He said that the Congress party in the country is on the path of rapid comeback. In fact, Amit Shah had said in one of his statements that the opposition’s opposition to the SIR of the voter list is actually just an attempt to save illegal infiltrators.

Akhilesh Yadav appealed to unite against electoral fraud

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also appealed to the countrymen to unite while registering a strong protest against the alleged election fraud on social media. Sharing a message on ‘X’, he emphasized that this struggle to save democracy from weakening is directly linked to the fundamental rights of marginalized communities, protection of reservation and social equality. Akhilesh Yadav appealed to all the citizens to come forward as a strong shield to protect the Constitution and democracy and unitedly fight all kinds of injustice and oppression.
