His entire family was devastated. Now, 9 days after his death, today i.e. on 3rd December, Dharmendra’s ashes have been immersed in the Ganga. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Karan Deol went to Haridwar to immerse the ashes.
Karan Deol has immersed his grandfather’s ashes in the Ganga. First of all he performed the puja with full rituals. After that Dharmendra’s ashes were immersed in the Ganga. During that time Sunny and Bobby became very emotional. After immersing the ashes, everyone went to Pilibhit hotel. He took bath at a ghat behind the hotel.
Karan had also gone to the cremation ground to collect the ashes.
Sunny Deol and his family reached Haridwar on December 2. After immersing the ashes, everyone returned to Mumbai the next day. Dharmendra’s last rites were performed at the Pawan Hans cremation ground in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Sunny Deol’s son Karan had also gone to the crematorium to collect the ashes. Now he himself has also immersed the ashes.
Dharmendra was ill
Dharmendra was 89 years old. He was having trouble breathing for a long time. Besides, he was suffering from some other age related diseases. He was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was discharged after some improvement in his health. After that he was being treated at home. On November 24, the news of his demise came out, which shocked everyone.
Dharmendra’s last film
However, Dharmendra is going to be seen on the film screen once again after his death. A film named ‘Ikkis’ is going to be released on 25th December, in which Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda will be seen in the lead role. Dharmendra will be seen in the role of Agastya’s father.
