Balodabazar. News of a major accident is coming from Bhatapara in Balodabazar district of Chhattisgarh. There has been a massive explosion in a steel factory in Balodabazar-Bhatapara. Six laborers are feared dead due to the blast. Along with this, 5 laborers are also said to be injured. The workers injured in this incident have been taken to the hospital.
According to the information, this accident took place in a steel factory located in Bakulahi village of Bhatapara rural area. The explosion took place in the ‘dust settling chamber’ of the steel plant. During the blast, hot dust from the factory fell on the workers. Due to this the workers got badly burnt. District Collector Deepak Soni has said that 6 laborers died on the spot and 5 others were badly injured.
As soon as the news of the explosion in the steel factory was received, police and other administrative officials reached the accident site and started the rescue operation. The 5 workers who were injured have been admitted to a hospital in Bilaspur. The treatment of workers is continuing here. State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has also expressed deep sorrow over this incident.
